Kathleen Willingham - Artist

Return to Out and About with Kathleen

Locations where my work may be seen:

Brush Strokes Gallery - Fredericksburg

Our theme for October is Colors of the Season.  I am showing a number of my abstractions that have seasonal colors.  The title of this one is "Entwine"

In October I will be showing pastel landscapes at the Arts Alliance at Jarett Thor Gallery in Colonial Beach.

I have been invited by the Fredericksburg Country Club to show my work in their dinning room through the end of the year.  I chose a variety of pastel, oil and acrylic paintings.  Many are examples of plein air work.  There are 29 pieces in this show.

My Goolricks pastel painting is there that I made at last year's Art Attack Downtown.

And a plein air oil painting "Leaving Belmont with roses on the Fence"

Middle Street Gallery in Washington, Va will have one of my newest pastel paintings on display.  Rappahannock in July - pastel

My work may also be seen in Orange, Va, at the Center for the Arts in Orange..

For the Love of Pastel an all pastel exhibit from the members of the MidAtlantic Pastel Society will be guest artist at the FCCA for the month of Oct. This is one of the pieces that I will have in this show.  This is Peacefu Pond.

Also,  I have a solo show at the Potomac River Fisheries Commission Building, the Carpenter Building at 222 Taylor St in Colonial Beach.  The building has limited access except during business hours which are 8:30 - 4pm during the week and closed on weekends   The opening reception is during the 2nd Friday Art Walk which is Oct, 12 - 6-9pm.  I will have 22 of my landscape oil paintings there for the month of Oct.   This is "Good Bye Day"
